Submissions Are In — What’s Next for the New Voices Poetry Contest?
A New Generation of Poets Has Spoken.
Dear Reader,
On behalf of the entire team at Creatives Project Ghana, we are thrilled to announce that submissions for the 2025 New Voices Poetry Contest are now officially closed!
We received bold, heartfelt, and powerful entries from poets across Ghana and beyond. These entries poured in with stories, questions, ancestral echoes, creative and brave imaginings under our theme: ‘Ancestor, Answer Me’.
It has been humbling to witness this outpouring of creativity and trust in this new platform. We have witnessed the growing power of African youth literature and the urgency of our stories/poems.
What’s Next?
Our 5-member jury is now preparing to begin the first round of judging.
Over the next few weeks, entries will be carefully reviewed using our established rubric.
We will announce the longlist on 1st September, followed by the shortlist and winners in late September at our Awards Night.
We're so grateful to every poet who submitted, every creative who supported, and every partner who believes in this vision.
